SHIVGANGA

A MOVEMENT FOR THE HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT OF JHABUA

STARTING AS JOURNEY OF ONE MAN, SHIVGANGA HAS NOW BECOME A MOVEMENT OF THE PEOPLE TO DEFINE DEVELOPMENT FOR THEMSELVES AND WORK TOGETHER TO ACHIEVE IT. TESTIMONIALS

I visited the Shiv Ganga Ashram, Jhabua first time in December 2014 with a group of students from IIT Delhi. It was very insightful to see an altogether different model of development which does not see individuals as working only for their own selfish interests, but for a larger objective motivated by the idea of ‘parmarth’ (good for others). I was very much inspired by the local tribal people taking enthusiastic lead in contributing back for the development of their own people and land, and many of them making it their life mission. It is a project worth visiting for every individual who would like to work in the social sector and for the development of the society at large.

The approach of Shivganga in tackling the question of development of marginalised sections of society has been very unique and successful. In my view Shivganga lays out a model for development for all of India and world at large.

Research Scholar, IIT Bombay

Shivganga is an entirely different approach to development. It has changed my perspective about tribal society. A truly sustainable way forward. An organisation that is embodiment of unbelievable ideas like Parmartha. A model of development with very strong foundation of Dharma
